Breaking Records: 15 New Iconic Houses Join!

We’re thrilled to announce that 15 new house museums and places to stay have recently joined the Iconic Houses Network — and we may even surpass last year’s record! Several more exceptional house museums we’re currently in conversation with are preparing to come on board soon.

Among the latest additions we proudly welcome today are:

  • A remarkable house in Ivrea (near Turin), commissioned by visionary industrialist Adriano Olivetti.
  • The stunning Bomma Atelier, housed in Prague’s Cubist Diamond House.

Looking for holiday inspiration?
Visit an Iconic House — or even spend the night in one!
Discover the latest listings below.

Tap on the links or photos here below to go to their listings.

New at Iconic Houses in 2025!

Casa Museo olivettiana in Ivrea
Welcome to Casa Museo olivettiana in Ivrea! Talponia ('mole town'), designed in 1968 by Gabetti and Isola, is a striking semi-circular, two-storey residential complex built into an artificial slope to house Olivetti’s international workforce. Stretching 300 meters underground, it contains 13 duplexes and 72 simplex apartments—one of which is now open to visitors as a house museum.

Bomma Atelier in Downtown Prague
BOMMA Atelier, housed in the Czech Cubist Diamond House (1913), is a hidden gem where heritage meets contemporary design. Emil Králíček’s historic interiors, with bespoke 1930s furnishings, provide the backdrop for BOMMA’s lighting collections and international design showcases. Visitors can even book an overnight stay in this extraordinary landmark.

LongHouse Reserve in East Hampton, USA
Former home and sculpture garden of the late Jack Lenor Larsen (1927–2020), this unique site reflects his passion for beauty, world cultures, and creative living. Visitors can explore a vibrant mix of curated and permanent outdoor artworks, along with Larsen’s rich collection of sculpture and mid-century modern furniture inside.

Laubenganghäuser in Bauhaus Dessau, Germany
Designed by the Swiss architect and Bauhaus director Hannes Meyer and built in 1929/30, the Houses with Balcony Access embody Meyer's vision of “people’s needs over luxury.” Featuring striking red brick and open corridor balconies (Laubengänge), they remain a landmark of social housing and affordable living for low-income families.

Turn End in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire, UK
Three village houses (The Turn, Middle Turn, Turn End) were designed and built in the 1960s, Peter and Margaret Aldington doing much of the building work themselves. They received a RIBA Award for Architecture in 1970. In 1998, the three buildings were added to the list of buildings of special architectural or historic interest.

Villa Rezek in Vienna, Austria
Villa Rezek, by architect Hans Glas, is an important example of Viennese Modernism in the interwar period. The influence of Adolf Loos and Josef Frank is unmistakable, as is that of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. With its huge, fully retractable windows, the house is reminiscent of a sanatorium of this day. No coincidence since it was built for two doctors.

Frank Lloyd Wright's Hollyhock House in Los Angeles, USA
Wright's first home in LA is an exotic blend of pre-Columbian, Japanese and Californian influences. Commissioned by heiress Aline Barnsdall, it pays homage to her favourite flower, the hollyhock, with abstract designs of the plant in its frieze and other details. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a National Historic Landmark.

Alvar Aalto's Villa Kokkonen in Järvenpää, Finland
Villa Kokkonen, the home of renowned composer Joonas Kokkonen, was designed by his close friend Aalto and is the only artist studio he ever created. It is also a rare example of a private home designed in his late career (1969). House and interior bare many characteristics of his style and several unique lighting fixtures are designed by Aalto himself.

Fay & Gus Jones House in Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA
The Fay and Gus Jones House was designed by architect Fay Jones for himself and his family in 1956. It is exemplary for his take on organic architecture through his use of materials, the relationship to the landscape, and establishing a continuity of movement beginning in the landscape and continuing inside.

Majamaja: Summer Getaway in Helsinki's Archipelago, Finland
Wake up to the subtle sounds of seabirds and gently rolling waves of the Baltic Sea. Majamaja is a pioneering solution for future off-grid living with minimised environmental footprint, that allows you to reconnect with nature. Bookings are open for the 4 unique off-grid seaside designer homes, initiated by Finnish architect Pekka Littow.

F.L. Wright's Kentuck Knob in Chalk Hill, USA
Built on a hexagonal module, Kentuck Knob is a small, one-storey Usonian house, meaning affordable for the average American: a signature design of Wright. Both dramatic and serene, the house stands 625 metres above sea level and almost appears to be part of the mountain it sits on. Completed in 1956, opened for tours in 1996.

El Palauet Royal Suites in Barcelona, Spain
This stunning Catalan Art Nouveau gem in the heart of Barcelona's Gràcia is designed by renowned architect Pere Falqués I Urpí (1906), the visionary behind the iconic street lamps of Paseig de Gràcia. El Palauet is Barcelona's best kept secret and now as boutique hotel, a privileged place to enjoy personalised service and the most exquisite luxury.

Arthur Erickson House & Garden in Vancouver, Canada
Behind a weathered cedar fence lies the secret garden of famous Canadian architect Arthur Erickson. His modest house, which uses existing structures, overlooks a contemplative garden, with ponds, and mature Pacific Northwest trees. This composition of house and garden is one of his most unique design achievements.

Gaudí's Casa Batlló in Barcelona, Spain
This masterpiece of Catalan Modernism designed by Antoni Gaudí, on Barcelona’s Passeig de Gràcia (1906), is notable for its organic shapes, vibrant colours and nature-inspired façade. The interior features sculpted wood, stained glass and an innovative light well. Gaudí’s genius is evident in everything from the ergonomic design to the pioneering ventilation system.

Gaudí's Casa Botines in León, Spain
At the end of the 19th century, the young architect Antonio Gaudí left Barcelona for the first time to build a textile warehouse combined with apartments in León, in northern Spain. Casa Botines is a 'modernista' building that now houses a museum dedicated to Gaudí, Spanish art of the 19th and 20th centuries and the building itself.
